The Picky Princess and the Dragon is an illustrated picture book that follows Princess Diya as she comes face to face with a dragon. Armed with only a fridge full of veggies, can Diya overcome her own dislike for veggies to get out of this dangerous situation?
This project was such a fun way to play with colour and expression on both Diya and Dragon as they navigated their shared dislike for veggies. The author wanted the book to have a south-asian fairytale flair so the dress and colours reflect that.
This project consisted of 32 pages of illustration, front and back cover design, patterned endsheets, and book interior design and layout.
